thecabbagedetective that's one awesome little creature, well modeled! Very curious what you will make out of it this last day 😎🍿
wow really Nice work this clank is amazing i love him so much cool hoe you idd that
thecabbagedetective That's a fantastic looking robot, Aaron, he's turned out really great. I love the materials and the amount of detail you put in. Also, erm, for no particular reason at all, is this version (on page 8) your final for this week?
silentheart00 Yeah I always found them kinda cute as a kid, even if they look a bit dumb lol.
ssmurfmier1985 Why thank you! Rendering now so hopefully you won't have to wait much longer!
swikni yyukinoh1989 Ta very much you two, appreciate it!
shiennar Why thank you! And nah not quite yet, rendering the final scene now. I'm genuinely concerned how long this is going to take, I don't wanna screw you over or not get regraded and whatnot. Well, no use worrying about it, just gotta wait it out!
Homework Submission Week 2
"Exploring an abandoned Gadgetron supply ship, sounded like an easy time. Low risk, and a high possibility of finding a new high ordinance weapon to up their arsenal. When the duo got separated by falling debris and Clank had to explore on his own though, was when the problems arose. As is typical (for some - mostly - bizzare reason) he managed to find some Gadgebots still locked in their sealed glass containers. After smashing them free, he attempted to do what he did best: lead them. There was a problem though. They refused to listen, mostly anyways. After exploring a few crates Clank came to a disastrous conclusion: The ship they were exploring was transporting faulty surplus, and it looked as if they were his only escape..."
Well here we are! After a power cut, multiple mistakes with the layers and a (relatively) monstrous render time my second week of work is done. Naturally things I'd like to improve, like more detail in the background but hey I think I did good with the time I had. Plus I remembered DoF existed this time, hurrah! Makes me die a little on the inside that the object with arguably the most detail has to be blurred out but it's for a better image.
Maybe I should've added motion blur to the closest Gadgebot? They're not exactly fast so it felt a little overkill. Also do not underestimate the compositor, it can do wonders to your render. Seriously. Sorry for taking so long @theluthier and shiennar but hopefully I've made it in time for a possible second look and for the slideshow. With that said I'm a bit on the tired side so I'll be checking out all of yours tomorrow but for now have a good day and keep on renderin'!
UPDATE: Based on feedback I rendered a slightly altered version including decreased bloom, subtle motion blur and I also tilted Clank's head for a bit of extra expression.
Amazing work with this scene, is lookign great, love the floor metalic mesh, it is a lto fo work for the time you had.
Great work Aaron. The render turned out nice with a fun backstory to boot.
thecabbagedetective Nice composition Aaron! Great action shot! Really nicely done, love how this came together with the fun story 😄👍🏻 Love it!!!
Ha, what a scene :) I think motion blur can be cool, and maybe bloom is too strong, but overall it's really cool!
wow amazing work this is my favorite. question the model did you moved the bodyparts? since the model had arms and legs neutral and eyes width open . if so how you did that :o
