Been too busy with actual intern work, which I can't show just yet. Haven't forgotten this project though, and now had time to do some work on it. redid the canopy since the previous version just wasn't good enough and I've come bit more in ways of using hardops and booleans.
Still heavily undone, but wanted to play around the scene lighting a bit.. :)
What I can say, i like to model and design guns for games. :)
outsides allmost done, then the insides.. and lowpoly then.
Small sneak peak of the third pistol i've been working. not the actual pistol, but the smartgun aspect. neurolink laser/camera/night vision apparatus. blockout stage, hence overlapping things on the bolts. punching through once i'm fine witht the design.
Things take time, that's one thing I've learned during the years. Learning new skills especially and pushing outside your comfort zone. This year, in particular, has been a rollercoaster ride, and not just cause covid-19. I had long thought of doing an asset pack into epic's marketplace. And during this summer, I laid plans, scope, and deadlines. Deadlines I could mostly keep, and this week I got the asset pack published. Planning and scope both were stretching, however, learned a ton on that side as well. :)
have a look, leave a comment. :)

(also @ cgcookie staff, if this is not appropriate to link into epic store, please let me know and I'll remove)
Your work is always amazing Kaj louhikarme are you doing everything vanilla blender or are you using HardOps and BoxCutter or similar?
Thanks :)
I'm currently using Speedflow, Fluent, Hardops, and Boxcutter. Mostly because each of them has tools that I find useful. All modeling could be done in a vanilla blender too, those just speed up and make life easier. Since I mainly do game assets, these help a lot to speed up the process.
Interested in what things you use Speedflow for that Hops and BoxCutter doesn't do?
I am currently using all the tools except SpeedFlow. It definitely looks interesting though.
they are pretty much same really :) i'm propably over complicating things for myself having them all. :) Personally I like to have options and constantly rethinking how I model.
Started instagram account to show work in progress unreal stuff i've been doing. cityblock generator, needs roads still, but wanted to start with the grid system and it turned out pretty good.
