This thread is dedicated to the wheels and the rear axle of the backhoe project.
I've just seen here the Space Shuttle "Atlantis" created by Albin Merle in about 400 hours. That's probably what I needed for my tiny rear axle 😭. Absolutely breathtaking what ONE person can achieve!
Parts of the animation are shown in the official Blender 2.9 demo reel here.
The animation is not included in the 400 working hours mentioned above.
Substance Painter was used for the textures as well as UDIM textures management.
Blender Guru's "Rock Essentials" and "Grass Essentials" are part of the landscape.
Everything has been rendered in Cycles with "heavy compositing" afterwards.
Vortex fields and Blender's "Particle Simulation" served for creating the contrails at the wing tips.
The parachute animation used Blender's "Cloth sim".
One point of criticism was that you can't change a Space Shuttle's trajectory as quickly as in the animation since it's not a plane with an engine.
