This is probably a bit too on the nose, but Team All Access(ories)?

  • Vincent (vincav81) replied

    *not with modifiers left ON.

    Sorry.

  • Dave Hudson(createanimissions) replied

Here's where I'm at as of now...

  • sheila5 replied

Thanks, I'm on the cart and already had some reference images, but at the moment I'm  not at that detail yet. I was under the impression that we follow the art work as much as possible for the rough first pass

  • Ivan Cipriani(jaivatur) replied

Hi all... I signed up to work on the sign post of the house... I believer this is the right group? or  am I wrong?

  • Angela (amblender) replied

I saw the table for the market stall is l-shaped.  So there are 2 crates. The darker on should be a normal crate and the brighter one should have comprtments, seen in the picture on the right. So the vendor can store stuff he needs, a pouch with money, something to drink. In the big compartment on the bottom the could be more pots with "special" spices he keeps secret.

  • Angela (amblender) replied

In just saw in the refence file it is supposed to be just one big crate

  • splat21 replied

Hello All.  I will also be working on the Cart.  I happen to be the Team Leader for the "House - Ext Back."  That team has not yet been setup as we are waiting for artwork from the concept artist.  So, it is possible I may have to leave my duties on the cart to pursue another part of this project.  Until then, I look forward to being an active participant on this team!

  • splat21 replied

Hello jaivatur , yes, this is the right group for the Sign.

Yesterday's stream was quite lengthy and I know that people dropped out early.  If you stuck around to the end, you would have seen that Kent's demo of building an asset was the Sign.  So, if you want assistance on modeling it, you already have some great instruction.  Kent should post the video of the stream shortly (probably today - 7 April).  It will have chapters so that you can quickly find the Sign creation toward the end.

  • splat21 replied

As I am also assigned to the Cart, my approach is to match the artwork and not try to design a new cart.

One thing that bothers me about the Cart is that the two poles (I believe they are called shafts) that extend to the ground are rather short.  Not much room to attach a horse or mule.  However, I will follow the artwork.

  • William Miller(williamatics) replied

I just applied for the crate.

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

amblender Your're right. I seems to be an L-shaped crate.  Whether there're compartments for storage can't be really seen in the artwork. So it's up to your imagination 😉.

  • Angela (amblender) replied

So i measured the reference and hope i can start modelling tomorrow, Have to see how stressfull and energie draining the day will be

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

amblender I wish you a pleasant day tomorrow. When looking at the artwork more closely, I tend to think that there are no compartments:

But I can ask @theluthier to pass this question to Vadim harbinger_ua   .

  • Angela (amblender) replied

I just thought it could be, because having a weapon hidden for fighting of robbers  would be helpful.  You are an easy target in the middle of nowhere or the edge of town. Also you wouldn`t have to go in the house if you are thirsty with your waterbottle under the table.

Right now I`m going to model it without compartments. Can be added later

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

@createtaiwan That's already looking great👍! And thank you vincav81  for the reference images! The fence in the sun seems to have some slight unevenness in the fence railings:

But I would just create this unevenness manually similar to what @theluthier  did with the treasure chest planks here. The fence posts seem to have some tapering (blue lines in the image above).

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

Thanks vincav81 for the cart reference images! sheila5 and splat21 The proportions should be taken from the artwork even if the cart shafts seem to be too short for a horse. But I'm no horse expert and who knows all the different horses out there 😉? In every case it's obviously a cart where at least one person can sit on as the bench seat indicates:

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

jaivatur The sign is part of the "House Accessories Team" here. Thank you splat21 for pointing at Kent's demonstration of modeling that sign.

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

Welcome to the team, williamatics 😀!

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

Welcome to the team, splat21 😀! I'm also looking forward to the house backside exterior team starting!
