Home key not working on my laptop in Blender!

Hi everyone,

I need your help to figure out how to make the Home key work in Blender. I am using an Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 laptop.

When I'm in Blender's Graph Editor, the Home key doesn't work, but the number 7 does. What’s the solution for this?

Thanks!

    Hi Ashour,

Does the Home key work in other windows/editors?

You could always go to View > Frame All, right click and Change Shortcut:

    Hi Martin,

its doesnt work in other windows/editors.

I know the manual way. But the home Key will help me speed up my workflow.

Just change the Shortcut then (to your Home Key, for instance).

    HI Ashour,

I don't know how this works on a laptop; is the one under Numpad 7 your only Home key? Maybe you need to disable Numlock, and/or hold the Function key together with the Numpad 7 to get the Home Key?

I have a laptop with 3 Home keys and just installed Blender on it, to check. I can get 2 of the three to work as Home key, just haven't figured the one under Numpad 7 out yet. Fn Page Up and Fn Left Arrow keys both work as Home (when I change the Shortcut to one of them).

What are you trying to accomplish with the home key? I mean what's function you're after? Maybe there's another way to do it.

    Hi Omar,
I want to frame all when I'm in the Graph Editor. I find it easier to hit the Home button to frame the curves and keyframes. I used to press A, then Period on the numpad, but that isn’t efficient for my workflow.
