Glass Tiles Introduction

In this second Type session, I am going continue with the basic concept of the first session: glass-obscured text. My goal is to demonstrate how relatively small tweaks to the core concepts can still result in a unique, great-looking animation.

We will also be working with custom shaders and roughness maps to refine the look. I'll show you how to implement punchy text animation. Finally, we'll apply some really cool compositing effects to wrap it all up.

Key Takeaways

Geometry Nodes: Ease into this powerful tool by generating a grid of glass pads.

Custom Materials: Achieve unique aesthetics for the letter and glass pads

Compositing Treatment: Finalize renders with compositing tricks and tweaks.
