This stream is part of week 2 in the August 2019 Class: "Get Started Building Stuff with Blender 2.8"
Texturing introduces color to your models but materials make your model appear to be plastic, or wood, or metal, etc. If you're asking yourself "What's the difference", fear not! I will make sure you know the difference by the end of this week.
We will also be exploring the Eevee engine and how it works together with texturing and shading for a realtime workflow.
Class Live Stream Schedule: RSVP to get notified when we go live.

- Week 04 - Class Wrap
And I wasn't studying to become a chemist, it was computer engineering!
I think you're lucky Kent to have the best of both worlds here on CGC
I'm sure you got a lot of technical experience, though, Kent.
Woohoo!
Yes, one for everyone!
So joining CGC was a means to make a living but have more creative freedom.
Paul, what do "pure artists" mean?
Nice Jake
Ooooo, can I have one, Jake?
Personally I felt my creativity was suffocated at a studio. Not that I wasn't super grateful to have a career being a 3D artist, but I felt more like the director's etch-a-sketch: They twiddled my knobs to make their vision happen
