Hard Surface Modeling in the Winter Months
Continuing with the winter theme, this week we're modeling a classic snow sled: The "Flexible Flyer" (more or less). The focus is on hard surface, polygon modeling. We'll be starting from scratch so this means sourcing reference images and generating a modeling sheet in addition to the entire 3D modeling process.
Join us for some fresh Blender 2.8 modeling shenanigans!
ctrl+n in 2.79, shift+n in 2.8 i belive
You would purposefully do pinching.
{Q) It's Shift-N to reverse normals instead of Control-N in 2.8?
Question; if there is a weld instead of a bolt, how would you model it?
how he did that ? scale and rotate it in mirored direction ?
Why didn't you just mirror it? Does ctrl m not work in 2.8
If it's not, I don't think he can show us.
Kent, I found this close-up image on Etsy.....don't know if it's CC0 though. https://img1.etsystatic.com/007/0/6565057/il_570xN.370693469_h4st.jpg
I think they could we welded as well... No need for screws ;)
yes it has to be engineering-inclined and look like it functions
