This event is part of the March 2018 Class, "Creating Stylized Characters with Blender".
Like Dorothy, our characters have so far lived in a black and white world. This week we’re leaving Kansas and adding color. There’s many methods for creating our character texture(s) including hand-painting, baking maps that accent the painting process (great for the less painterly character artists), as well as photo-sourcing. There's also a couple different formats: Vertex Colors and UV/Textures. All things we will be discussing!
Film review of "Glass Half" The 2D textures were great.
QUESTION: Did the Captain Disillusion stream fell apart?
Either Sintel, or Agent 327!!!
All those talking streams are good
I really like all the streams
QUESTION: How about a live stream in which members critique your courses?
Select vertices to mask, then invert selection and create a vertex group.
Thanks! The old Vertex Group trick.
RANDOM QUESTION: When is the next film review stream? Not that I don't love these streams, but I really like the film reviews :)
QUESTION: Is there a masking technique with the Decimate modifier, to protect areas of the model?
