Hi,
I've finished a fairly high poly sculpt in a T pose. Now I would like to pose it without messing up the mesh and making it good for texturing.
Should I retopo the mesh now as the next step to help get it in a good pose or is there another way I should think about?
Thanks!

Yep, that's exactly right! Once you retopologize, you'll be better able to rig it up and move him around.
Here's a good intro to rigging if you haven't tried it yet:

I would agree that retopo during T pose would be best. If the sculpt is symmetrical you should be able to get a decent retopo by working one half and then mirroring to the other side. Then baking the texture to the lo poly and then rigging, perhaps?
OK great thanks a lot, ill check out those videos and make a start doing some retopo then :)
