Question - if you were to take this asset into Unity, can you reuse the shader somehow, or do you need to recreate it? What about when uploading to Sketchfab?

Hi....You can bake shader setup into PBR textures. Then you can import those to unity.

You certainly can export this treasure chest and its textures (maybe materials too?) to work with Unity, Sketfab, etc. As Tomas points out there's a little conversion work that needs to be done, relative to every situation, but it's very possible. Check out this course/lesson from @jlampel to get an idea of the process.

The folks at Blender are also working on the USD exporter which will have some material support as well, it's still a way off but looks promising.
