Here it is. I'm starting a polybook too. Hope to get some useful critiques:
Here's an update to the Male Sculpt project. I've been working on the back of the character, the shoulder, the face, a little on the right hand, his left arm. And I've practiced a bit in the video-editor DaVinci Resolve.
I think this week I'm gonna work at the tree trunk. And then maybe the hair.
I know I have to work on the textures, there plain ugly. But that's for later.
Here's a quick little update of how I'm doing with the sculpt so far. I worked on the tree stump, a bit on the body, on the face and I started on the hair. I'm not happy with the face so far. I tried to make it look older, more middle aged, but it looks weird. I'll have to work on that some more.
Also I moved from Eevee to Cycles, 'cause I couldn't make it look right. And the render times where getting a bit long in the end, so the advantage was lost more and more.
Here is a render and a crop of the head and torso from the same render:
ccarrotnl Nice progress. It's hard to tell from just the one angle, but the hair looks like it could use some rounding out on the front; maybe a little too boxy with the hair framing the face. Hard to tell, though. Good work.
ccarrotnl I like the hairstyle and details in the face. You're making good progress Wilco!
Here's a quick doodle I did last night and this morning. It's just a viewport screenshot. I call it 'Screaming Cube.' All together it took me about 1 hour to get to this stage. I made it to test my new Huion Kamvas 13, that I bought second hand to use together with my laptop and at work. For the price I like it very much. It's a lot cheaper then a Wacom 13 HD, and it's lighter in weight too.
