My homework thread for the August 2018 Class
Week 1
Week 2 Submission
Because my head and eyes hurt, and I can't figure out how to save the bloody UV unwrap map, here's my submission.
I was in a dark place the beginning of last week, listening to depressing music, and this piece was on my list. Every single lyric in that piece resonates with me so very deeply. I didn't have the happiest or smoothest upbringing. but music and art have always been my refuge; it has always made me pull through despite what I'm feeling or thinking. My go-to outlet has always been music and art, so with those feelings of last week I put in them front of you now despite some bumps with 2.8. There are things I still want to add, things to tweak, but I can't work with a headache and eye strain right now.
Sorry if some details get lost; still figuring out the lighting situation in Eevee.
Week 3 Submission
I did this a while ago, and I think the decimate modifier left some funky geometry. Oh well.
Did the primitives. The hardest is probably the cone.
No hair, but some piercings. Not loving the ears, but I guess I should do some ear studies, then. Not loving the eye work either, but practice will help.
Week 4 WIP 3
Subtle changes. Brought the ribcage front higher, increased the crease between the breasts, pulled the form where the side of the breast goes into the armpit in towards the torso more so it's not a flat transition. Fiddled with the collar bone a little more. Legs next, methinks. Thanks for the feedback.

Week 4 WIP 4
I can't sleep. This happens sometimes, so I might as well try to tire myself by doing something productive instead of rolling around in bed for hours.
Feet and lower legs. Not too worried about the toes as they'll mostly be covered by shoes. Trying to be extra conscious of anatomy.
silentheart00 Good progress on the torso! The leg are a good start, the S-curve looks a bit to strong to me, the part under the knee goes in pretty strongly, looks a bit unnatural. You're going in a good tempo, keep it up 😊
Week 4 WIP 5
Here's a more full-bodied shot. Arms are next. Not too worried about the butt/crotch area since that'll be covered by the dress. Anatomy studies are on the next on the studies list.

Didn't know a better description for it hope this pic clears up what I meant. I feel the shin, the top part of it right under the knee, curves in too much, that it should be a bit straighter.
silentheart00 Those are some nice long legs! The length looks pretty close to the references you're using. You got some nice details on her back too. Great progress, you're going good 😄👍🏻

silentheart00 I must say I can really respect the stylized approach. I'm not really sure what to criticize what hasn't already been pointed at but it's generally kinda hard to point out anatomical errors in something stylized, especially when the person doing the critiquing doesn't know what they're talking about lol. I'm curious as if you're going to be modeling the hands and fingers? That's gonna be a challenge, but I'm sure you can do it.

Working on the face. Didn't have time yesterday, and there's a family event today, so trying to work a little faster than normal.
