You see an Image Texture node being created and them BOOM! a UV grid appears. However the default generator type is blank. So the chances are you'll need to select the generator type dropdown and set it to Colour Grid before you can progress.
Whatever option was last selected then stays as the default option till you change it again. Eva's is set to Colour Grid because she's run through this already and so that's why she doesn't need to set this from Blank to Colour Grid. I can't recall this being shown in any previous lessons so if you don't know how to do this chances are you'll be stuck.
Alternatively
The Colour grid is now displayed on the model. UV Grid is a similar checkerboard pattern but has less info on it so it's harder to spot stretching, direction and orientation issues.
Tom you seem to be struggling with the concept of feedback. If you don't understand I suggest you skip it. No offence.
I deliberately didn't reply to your last insult. With this comment you've gone out of your way to ignore the substance of my message (I wasn't asking for help, I was providing help for others who might be confused) so you could insult me in your oddly passive aggressive way. And so I bit. I suggest Sir, that it is you who is not only lacking in manners, but also talent. Could you please leave me alone now. I will not be engaging with you any more.
