Small boolean mistake, but I don't have the energy to fix it—this exercise was a pain towards the end.

Oh my God, this course is so interesting! However, all these shader node connections are giving me a headache. Would it be possible to have a JPEG of the finished shader to check my work, perhaps for the next classes, or even a quick few-second view of the node tree? This part is very difficult. Modeling is easy comapre to shaders.

    Hi Stéphane Injaw ,

Yes, those Node Trees can easily become very overwhelming!

But luckily you can Download the Course Files, there are the finished .blend files per Chapter, so you can study the Nodes:

Dude you're getting so much better lately. That is a great sci-fi hallway. She totally looks like she took a left when she should've turned right and now she's like, where am I?

Lol, for be honest i just plant this woman like that for sugesst size ^^

Hey everyone! I experimented with a simple scene, trying to give it some atmosphere and added a glow effect in compositing. I'd love to work on something more polished next, but I'm aware I have some weaknesses and would really appreciate any feedback. Maybe starting with a sketch beforehand would help—I'm not entirely sure. I'm really inspired by the artist Max Hay, and that's the direction I'm aiming for.

I noticed that the glow also brightened the ground, which makes the render look kind of blown out. Honestly, I'm not too sure how to properly grade the image yet, but I'm learning!

I guess depends on what your goal is. If it's making the hallway scary, the goal is accomplished. If you're going for a sci-fi look, you're going to need more lights, specially at the sides, maybe to make the details of the hallway walls come into view. But overall is looking great 🤙🏼

    Hi Stéphane,

You can isolate the Glow (or any Compositing Nodes) to certain Lights (by adding them to a Light Group), or to certain Objects or Materials (so you could remove the floor from the Glare Node), via CryptoMatte:

This might still be too advanced for you at the moment (and maybe not), but at least you know that it's possible.
