Updated Version

I was wondering if this course will ever get an updated version? Similar to how fundamental courses got a glow up

We've wondered that ourselves from time to time. I think JL said it still holds on its own, because the core knowledge it's still the same. But having the super old UI does complicate things, hence it would be cool to have an update. In the new Fundamentals there are parts that have this core knowledge though.

Actually, I think the fundamentals are the update of bootcamp. The mug, cookie and ball all make an appearance in the CORE Mesh Modeling Fundamentals, as well as the Husky as an example of edge flow.
The cartoon head in modern versions of Blender would be done with sculpting and then retopologized. Sculpting tools are much improved and make this type of model a more efficient workflow.
Like Omar said, the info is still relevant, even modeling the cartoon head, as it will help you understand edge flow.
If you are not a total noob to Blender, using the latest version shouldn't be too problematic with this course.

Adrian is right, all of the essential information from this course is now in the new Mesh Modeling Fundamentals. The rest of the modeling practice is still useful though, and the husky is still a good exercise, but newer courses like Press Start, Sessions, Pothead, and the others should fill in those gaps.
