Another problem: I was working on the details while I noted that my bevels made previously with a modifier have disappeared. What have I done to obtain that no effect??? And how can I have them back (...if it's possible)?
Neither solution works. Yes, Clamp Overlap was enabled but no change. And Merge by distance has no effect...
Oups! I've just discovered that (I don't know why) at the right of the bevel modifier, the little screen icon was off. 😳 Now, I can see the bevels!
spikeyxxx any other reasons it would turn off or appear minimally??? (i can see its on but i have to put the amount up to 1.1 to see how it should look regularly and then it messes up my mesh)
Hi Angel AAngelwheel ,
Do you have your Scale Applied?
One or more screenshots might be helpful here.
spikeyxxx before and after applying scale, the mesh always messes up this way while trying to fix the bevel
Hi Angel AAngelwheel ,
Have you tried the usual suspects: double Vertices and inconsistent Normals? I am also not sure if the Miter Outer should be set to Patch 🤔...the default is Sharp
Unfortunately the images don't help me a lot, they just confuse me😉
(It is not very important here, but it looks like you Joined your Console to your Speakers, instead of the other way around; you should learn to pay attention to things like that, they can make a huge difference.)
If the above suggestions don't help, could you post a link to your .blend file here? (Via Dropbox, GoogleDrive, or so.

I have tried a few things, unsure if i tried correctly!
I had quite a bit of trouble with the speakers so i can see in the process me joining them the wrong way around and not realizing
Hi Angel AAngelwheel ,
You have given almost all Edges a Bevel Weight of 1.
You still have the Miter Outer set to Patch (try Sharp).
You also have set the Vertex Bevel Weight, this won't do much harm, because you are not Beveling Vertices in the Modifier, but it's unnecessary and 'ugly':
I'd remove all Bevel Weight from the model (Select everything and set both Mean Bevel Weights to 0). Then only add the Edge Bevel Weight where needed.
Also fix your Normals (a bit of red at the D-Pad).
That will hopefully fix everything.
Angel, Press Start is not a fully beginner's course, to troubleshoot a mesh like that takes some experience. I recommend taking a look at the Fundamentals of modeling to start with, you'll be so much better off to tackle Press Start after that. Here's some links:

Thank you for the help! spikeyxxx doing the bevels on certain edges seems to be working for right now
Omar, i definitely started this because i thought this course was a complete beginner friendly one, i will be looking at those courses next
