Strange bug? CRL Z command

Hi. I don't have any images. Sometimes I try to get back with CTRL Z, and instead of going back, it put the mesh that I am working on elsewhere in the 3D environement. I THINK the program is trying to put the mesh in a Z direction, but that is not what I wanted. I simply hit CTRL Z to go back  and then I don't see the mesh anymore. And I can't undo that either.

It happens sometimes and I'm frustrated as I need to close Blender and reopen it so that the mesh is wehre I want it to be.

If you recognise what might be the problem, please tell me.

Same thing, try turning off GPU Subdiv. Also maybe try changing Blender versions. If you're on an older version, try updating to the latest one. Sometimes I update to the later version only for it to have bugs so I roll back a version to one I know it was stable.

That doesn't really sound like a Blender bug to be honest, more like a human error.

Maybe you're hitting the wrong key (still happens to me, that I want to move something and hit the H key instead of G....or the F key). Or you didn't finish your last command (hitting G and then, while still in the Move operator, try CTRL+Z...).

That being said, definitely turn of the GPU Subdivision like Omar said,, just to be sure!

That is what I thought Martin. My Blender version is always the last one cause Steam makes it update automatically. Thx for those answers.

This is the most likely thing I can think of, and it happens to me too sometimes.

This could also happen if you have a dependency loop in parents or constraints or are using an add-on that shifts the object origin. That's probably not the issue here though as we're not using those features in the course.
