Contradiction in parenting

When I, like you at the beginning of the Video parent the Body_GEO with the Base_GEO it makes sense.

Later you parent the Footing_Geo to the Root Bone,

the Base_GEO to the Base Bone and

the Body_GEO to the body Bone. But right on this last one I lose my connection between the Body_GEO and the Base_GEO

So, at the end I just find a bloody   mess. What is it you are doing? Even my Recoil Bone is not moving along any more because (I assume) it is locked in its location/rotation/scale but on your screen recording it is moving perfectly along….

Please help me

Thank you

the video shows that when the Body_Geo and the Base_Geo are parented (like you parented in the beginning of the video) it follows in the Z Axis. When I grab the Root_Bone everything is connected.

When the Body_Geo is connected with the body bone it misbehaves.

I hope you can follow me and understand me.

Kind regards Martin

    Hey there,

It seems to me from your video that maybe your rig is just missing a parenting relationship between the body bone and base bone. The body bone's parent should be the base bone in order for the body bone to follow the base bone's z rotation. I think in your rig, the body bone is currently set as the child of the root bone instead of the base bone.
