Manu's Blender/CG Cookie progress

Hey! I think a polybook is a great & inspiring idea, not just to monitor your own progress but to get inspired by other people's journey, too. Which is why I want to showcase my progress through the different CG-Cookie courses and hopefully in the future share progress pics on my own projects.

He's definitively the king in his realm πŸ˜‰! Excellent work πŸ‘! I also very much like the lighting πŸ˜€!

Thank you duerer ! I felt like it looked very homey :)

thank you duerer ! This was a fun one, since Kent finally managed to explain sculpting in Blender to me :)

bexxartsΒ I very much like the design of your Sci-Fi crate πŸ˜€πŸ‘! The four orange dots at the front look to me like a mouth: Can it talk πŸ˜‰πŸ˜?!

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

bexxarts If I need a home interior designer, I'll ask you πŸ˜‰!

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

bexxarts Yes, Kent isn't only a great CG artist but also an excellent motivator πŸ˜€πŸ‘!

Result of the Modeling a cartoon head portion of the Mesh modeling bootcamp. It was a painful journey, but I'm glad I finished it.

    The pain doesn't show!

    Great work!

Finally got around to doing the stylized forest course, which is the one that actually convinced me to become a member. My laptop absolutely HATED the mountains in the background with the particle trees, but everything else went rather smoothly. I did some post-editing in Topaz (free software) by adding some dust texture to the image and a blue overlay, which affected pretty much all colors but the orange, which was very nice. Overall very happy with this.

Great job with the stylized forest bexxarts ,

The focus here is totally on the hero tree.

    This single render feels alive.

I'm expecting to see a squirrel scamper across the undergrowthΒ

or a bear appear from behind a tree.

    Well done!

    thank you @adrian2301 !

I really hope to explore this style more, maybe create some other scenes in the same universe. I just love this style so much, could look at it all day
