Here's the sci-fi crate I built as part of the beginning mesh modeling tutorial I've been watching. It's a great tutorial!
That's a good start. It looks great.
It's just a little dark on the left side. Make sure you add another lamp to illuminate entire area. If you don't want to add another lamp you can rotate the sun lamp a little more in Z axis so the light illuminate both side, left and front. :)
That's really a good start with the snowman โand the sci-fi crate ๐! I'm looking forward to see your next creation ๐!
This is a screenshot of the rocket mp4 I made for the first week in blender course. I loved that course!!
Very nice!
It's such a good course! It gives you some nice basics and then throws in the particle effects at then end to hook you in.
Nice work laurettabucher , you are making great progress, keep it up.
Any plans for your next challenge?

Happy Blending.
This is my low poly room. I'm not sure why the right side of the headboard looks see-through. It definitely doesn't in the material preview. I also made little sticks using extruded vertices that came out of the floor vase, and were visible in the material preview but mostly didn't come through at all in the render. I couldn't figure out how to solidify them. But overall I'm pretty happy with this.ย
laurettabucher very nice result! The normals of the face of the headboard might be flipped and when backside culling is on, it appears invisible. To fix it, go into Edit mode, select the face, hit Alt+N and "Flip".ย
Such a nice warm and cozy little room! I love the pleated curtains and the lighting...and the addition of a photo in the frame above the bed. Very cute!
Thanks for the encouragement and for the idea about face orientation on the headboard. That definitely made sense. Oddly, though. the face orientation was correct, so something else must be going on.
