When I first joined CGCookie, I was looking for a way to create my own game assets. Completing the nature scene was my first real step into this direction and my first serious attempt at texturing.
So, about this picture:
I have completed the course about building a nature scene, but had another theme in mind. My compilation aims for a more simplistic and stylized graphic than the one taught in the course. I started with the assets provided by the course and went on building my own.
I have focused on keeping everything somewhat realistic and having a solid color-set for the whole scene. I am not entirely happy with how it turned out, but it was a start.
Let me know, what you think!
Disclaimer:
I have used two meshes from the starting file to keep the scene close to the example given in the course. I do not own those models. Thanks Jonathan for providing them!
I know this place! If I could only remember where it was 😉! But seriously, bun-bun, that was a great start 👍!
Thank you, Jonathan. It means a great deal to me.
Made all possible by your awesome tutorials! ;)
Nice work Bun-bun, I like seeing your own unique take on the scene!
