Who cleans the oceans? The Mer-maid!
The joke was the inspiration for this grease pencil project. Looking back, I wish I had done each of the corals and rocks as their own object instead of a single layer. Still, I like how this turned out overall.
Thanks! I only recently shared it, but it's from was couple of years ago... If I were to do it again, I'd probably do the coral separately and as separate objects, rather than all in one object on separate layers, but still using the "cardboard cutout" idea. This is one of my favorite pieces I've made though :D
ullreym Thanks! I've really been working on my drawing skills in the last year, in large part because I love the GP workflow! After years of polygon modeling/sculpting, GP feels more "natural" to me than using "traditional" drawing/painting programs like Krita and Photoshop :D
