Most people add the background in post or compositing exactly because of that. I believe the world background of the 3D viewport lowers the resolution by default. I think you can change it somewhere in the preferences, but I'm not sure. It might be just the nature of the world background. You can start a topic in the forum and maybe we can go more in depth on that matter.

  • Maybe the hdri resolution was too low? But if you added some depth of field you should still get the result and hide the pixelation

THE RESULOTION of the hdri is not low ..... it's one of the default HDRIs so it's not low res ........and what so you mean by adding depth of the field ..... and thank

So there's a setting for the camera that can add what's called depth of field. It focuses on a specific part of the scene or background and blurs the rest of the view. So you could focus the camera on the table and therefore blur the background to still get the lighting you want and hide the pixelation of the hdri

it works ..... just adding blur to the background was enough to overcome the pixelation ..... so thank pal
