Hi Guys,
This is my finished project. I have taken reference from image dnd tried to replicate as best as I can, you can find here https://lateteenclaire.files.wordpress.com/2016/10/fauteuil-en-tissu-gris-anthracite-chine-noa-500-0-31-156077_4.jpg
I know there is few things off from reference, but at least i could replicate mood, light, composition and ect. It took me 4.5 hours to render on GTX 1070Ti because I used Branch path tracing that is how I could manage where need samples most.
So I'm leaving to your judgment. :)
nishantneeraj no worries, appreciate for opinion. :)
Please excuse me for few words i misspelled while writing..
And good work though..keep it up!!
nishantneeraj Thanks. Good point.
One thing i notices about chair is..The seat looks litttle Concrete feel to me..like its quite perfect.. You may have noticed that in real life sofas are bit stretched.. try to tweak it a bit..
cushion is not 100% resting on chair.. void is there.. rest sides and back can be untouched but depends on artist fr more realism!!
Composition is really good!!
Even the stuff is casual but colors attracts the eye!! Good job!!
@jlampel Awesome I will take the notes for a next project.
Sure thing, I had a closer look and noticed a few things that could be improved:
-The shadows are a touch too soft to be natural
- The pillow is floating
-The area under the drawers is a bit too light, there should be more shadowing going on (it should be there by default, only thing I can think of is if you're using AO in a funky way). Notice how dark it gets in the reference, which helps it feel more grounded.
-The carpet could use some displacement, it looks extremely hard.
But overall, I actually like yours much more than the reference! It feels really classy and cheerful at the same time :)
@jlampel Hi, Jonathan thnak you very much. Good criticism are welcome as well. :)
Really great work Dainius, the color and mood of this is spot on!
