"At last the little robot arrived at the top of the mountain. A long, hard struggle had finally come to an end - Planet Texturing was conquered and the flag raised. Oil and other lubricants were lost along the way and sacrifices made, ultimately his patience got blown up before he reached the end. But he made it. Victory!"
This is the revised version of my submission for the Texturing course, part of CORE. It's also the second version of the robot I made, because the first time I didn't save the textures and 2.5 hrs of work went down the drain. Save your textures, folks!!! ;)
Robots are always fun.
PD: Love, Death and Robots is a must see. Not all the episodes, but some of them are awesome. Specially Alberto Mielgo's "The Witness" and "Jíbaro" are animation masterpieces; although no robots in these episodes.
So I've heard and I'd love to have a look. But I'd have to get Netflix and that's not happening.
Reminds me of one of the three robots from the Love + Death + Robots. Looks awesome!
Thanks, Blaine. I've only seen snippets of that show, don't have Netflix, but I hear it's good. Maybe this one was on a secret mission.
Love + Death + Robots, this is not the first time I hear about it. I guess I have to take a look at it.
Cool concept, great result. Love that idea of conquering at the end with the exercise. I know it's all about the robot, but those rocks look great as well. The environment is something we're too tired at the end to work on it, so a good environment is always a huge sacrifice in going the extra mile.
Thank you, Omar. I was indeed tired at the end, after losing the first version. In comes Megascans :D
Absolutely conquered!
Only thing that I'm not sure about is the flag,
It may be intended, but it looks like leather or even rubber.
Awesome work though!
Thanks, Adrian.
A bit of subsurf scatter might have helped with that flag. Next time.
