This image shows it is possible to use Blender as a design package and then produce an item based on the design, using Blender to work out your Bill of Materials before purchasing. This is a Stick Insect Enclosure I made for my daughter as their previous one being only a quarter of the size was making them sad.
However, be warned in the UK it appears the size of timber companies quote on their website doesn't always relate to the actual size when you buy it. Hence the gap at the bottom of the door (For Ventilation!), and I'd already purchased the Perspex window so had to make the door as is.
Used Pro Lighting Studio from Blender Guru to set a scene up quickly for rendering.
This is lovely! I and my son are very excited to be learning about stick insects with the hope of getting some soon. I'd like something like this as it looks attractive 😍
