A colleague of mine saw this "giant spider climped block of flats" - youtubevideo.
Than, he asked me, if i clould do somethink like this, too.
I took a photo of our workingplace and started trying it (at evening, of course :) )
First time i realy tried to combine real-life-footage with 3d renders.
This is the result. (The "fly screen" - effect comes from the conversion into a .gif)
The spider is an old asset which i spend a quick walkcycle and a fresh material.
I wounder, if i could scare our maintainer with this video.
What do you think?
@jlampel thank you :)
That thing looks massive! Definitely spooky. For me the thing that stands out is the lighting doesn't look quite right while he's under the bin, and his acceleration at the end is a bit much. But I love the idea and I think the result is awesome!
Thank you for the feedback!
I added a tiny bit of blur to the spider and fixed the lighting (the spider was way to bright underneath the cabinet)
Spooked me
Very well done ! The spider quality might be too crisp and "perfect" with regard to the surrounding, which has lower resolution. If you get them to match, it will look even better!
