tthe3dbanana I'm not sure if there's a specific painting technique for the tree. I just used custom leaf-shaped brush for the crown and my regular round brush for the trunk of the tree, and then added some light blue that I picked from the sky to put the tree in atmospheric perspective and separate it from the house. The only 3d object here us the house, which you can see on the last image. Everything else was painted in photoshop.
harbinger_ua yes. i can see a tree to the right of the house that blends in to the back ground. i was wondering what painting tecnique you used? and while im at it, is that tree a 3D object, a plane, or a grease pencil
tthe3dbanana Thank you! Well, lots of concept iterations and then just paint, paint and paint :) Maybe you want to know something specific? I'll try my best to explain.
Hey Wes. Thanks a lot for your kind words and yet another feature. Trying to learn new stuff to broaden my area of expertise. Always useful for a concept artist :)
fthomas Thank you very much!
Well, first of all it was lots of concept iterations which I didn't include here. But after that yes, I made basic 3d model and painted over it in photoshop.
thanks for the feedback! it was very informative. your model is incredible

Wow really nice ! Such a enchanting place :)
How does it work, did you do the 3D modeling first and then paint over it?
