Here is my snowman I created following the snowman course. It was good fun. The scarf was pain. Learned a bunch of stuff.
The snow lantern render was done with cycles cause don’t know how to get light correct with Eevee yet. Render took 4,5 hours, so I did not fix the weird geometry artifacts between the bottom and the middle snow ball (nor added a model of a loin cloth to cover the artifacts).
The snow lantern array was made with geometry nodes. I notice that it was possible to randomise the size and the rotation of the snow balls in the “array”. However only the circles are arrayed. I had to make layer copies to make the pile. The snowball textures are identical on each snowball, but because of the rotation and the size changes, I think you do not notice it.
Later, when I learn some more rigging, I think I will rig the model. Now I changed the location of the coal, the pipe, the hat and the carrot to turn snowman’s head.
It's good you completed the first step of modeling and rigging. Congrats on your journey.
My criticism: too much SSS on the snowman. He looks like he's made of bubble gum. Tone the SSS down a little bit.
