Was asked to make a venus fly trap mouthed type creature one time so i decided to make this scavenger creature. It wanders around looking for dead bodies and when it finds one, it gathers it in its mouth and releases digestive juices liquifying it while the creature wanders around either looking for the next meal or finding a safe place to rest and digest its meal. When threatened it opens its mouth wide to make it look larger while protecting its vulnerable stomach region with its spiked tail and bony protrusions from its back.
