My critique is on the camera movement, is that its too linear.
Take a look at https://cgcookie.com/courses/directing-the-camera-in-blender This will help you add some camera effects to add more to the feel of the environment.
Also, adding some volumetric fog would really bring the scene alive.

Nice work. A couple of things that stand out to me: the fences at the side look like they are floating, maybe that's the idea since it is a scary house after all. The sky looks flat gray, it could use a bit of clouds or a gradient dark blue to blue or how ever the night sky looks, with a couple of twinkle stars . A couple more trees for variation, maybe some bushes. The wood planks at the front of the house look too much like a flat plane, maybe doing some separate planks each with their own unique variation would be ideal, then you can assemble the shack. Like Kent did on the treasure chest course:
