One of the items included in the summer 2021 Pusheen box was a pretty cool ice cream truck, which I decided to try and re-create in Blender! It seemed perfect since the vehicle's shape is pretty basic and yet challenging enough with all the rounded edges, windows that needs to be cut-out, a multi-colored marquess, as well as a bunch of images to add to the truck.
Good thing that I recently finished the "PRESS START" course, since it contained a lot of stuff that I could put to good use here such as the Bevel modifier, using the Bevel tool to create cut-ins, and applying image textures!
Pretty happy with how the truck turned out, despite taking _much_ too long time to finish all the details and making cut-outs for the windows! There's definitely room for _a lot_ of improvements such as the beveling of edges (looks off in a few places) and finishing touches, but for now I just wanted to start a new project of my own and actually finish it ^^
I'm definitely coming back to the model sometime in the future, to see just _what_ I can then improve based on what I've learned at that point - proving to myself that I've actually made some progress! :) If nothing else I'm sure I can cut down on the time it took to model it!
Both the truck and the creature are so fluffy and cute. It makes me wanna touch hold them in my hands.
