My first ever character, created during the "Stylized Characters" class. I will continue working on him, as I need to prepare him for animation. For now, he is capable of basic (and not very good) blinking. I'll need to rework his eyes once again.
His backstory is a bit too long to post here, but if you are interested, you can find it at the end of this blog post:

Ooo I like the eye anim test! Nice job, Katerina 👌
starry Thank you very much :-) The aside makes a lot of sense - and I'll definitely push his coat colour further into the beige area (haven't got quite far enough yet). Thanks for the tip!
I love him! Lighting is an art in itself - especially when you use a white costume! As an aside did you know that some of the Iconic costumes in film history (like Marylin Monroes white gown) were actually a different colour? Her white gown was a peculiar beige colour that when lit by all the studio lights became brilliant white on film... This little guy has so much character! Great job!
baukepost Yup, filmic made it into my default scene setup, together with denoiser.

Have you tried using the Filmic color management? That would definitely help against overexposure.
baukepost Thank you! I've met with some conflicting views on using vignette - I've used it a few times, but can't decide when it is appropriate. This image might benefit from it, though, now that you mention it. As to the lights, I went through many iterations and nothing seemed to work. I wanted to isolate a spotlight for the head, but it always makes the coat overblown. Need to study lighting more. :-)
That's amazing, especially for a first character! I would add a vignette to the final image and some kind of spotlight to make him stand out more.
