I'm actually liking the Evee renders better than the cycles renders.
I think I have too much light and cycles is reflecting stuff everywhere, washing out the details.
I went too far with the bump maps, scratches, and everything. . . so instead of backing off I went further.
This is Pot Head with years of kicking around, fighting threshing machines, and some acid baths.
Getting there. Fighting a little bit with a masking bug; GPU Subdivision strikes again!
Also fighting with add-ons and Drop Box.
Switching between systems and keeping everything synced up can be challending.
Drop Box doesn't like me changing the case on files or directories, missing add ons between systems, and the infamous pink texture even when everything appears like it should be there. :-/
I kind of like the darker rust color I had before adding all the scratches. I'm going to have to see if I can darken things up again to get closer to brown than orange. In a real project I'd be working with the art director or somebody on a decision like that, but I think the darker texture looks better personally.
Metal surfaces on Pot Head are done. . . except for that pot handle ring. Whoops!
Pot handle, cables, controller yet to go, as well as bump maps, etc.
Edit: In a lot of the Pot Head projects I thought the rust looked too orange. I know that's how the concept art looks, but I like the red-brown rust more, so that's the direction I largely went.
Thank you pressman. I'll post something when I'm done texturing. Maybe even a little animation with it. I'm really happy with the model, but it's still only 1/2 done without the textures.
Yes, I'm going to texture it, but I have to take a break first. I have to do some work on the house, get some roommates, yard work that's more than just mowing, etc.
I hate to break the flow of daily Blendering, but those things need to be done.
Just got the video finished. It's a little fast, and jerks a little, but I liked getting close up on some of the details. Animation, camera movement, also on the list of things to do!

Should have been a staff pick

Edit: Spelling
Yeah, this is looking crisp! Nice work :)
Coming along nicely Wardred! 👍
Oh yeah that is a nice Pothead! Great job Wardred. You gonna texture it?
Thank you blanchsb!

Edit: It's also a little too "swoopy" in places.
Looking good
