Pit Stop while kayaking in the Pacific NW Final

3 loves

This is my 3rd solo render, and inspired by the stuff I learned in a Polygon Runway tutorial.  I tried to use the influence of the area of the world I live in, while still being fun and clever.  As always, I struggle with lighting and exposure, but ultimately, I'm happy where it landed considering how few original renders I've done.  I marked this as Final, but feedback is always welcome and appreciated.

  • I love this diorama.

So simple, and yet so evocative at the same time. Great job! (Also, really good job with the lighting and volumetrics.)

Edit: Not sure if that's a long ways to run electricity for the vending machines, or if they bridged the water near the light house somewhere. (Sorry, we had an interesting fiber run at my previous school - just sling bare fiber, no conduit, from the roof of one building to the other. Always makes me think of weird wire runs when I see something like this.)

  • My only feedback is that you nailed it! Nice work.

The lighting and exposure are great man, it's lovely. The scene has an eerie feel to it, like you've just stepped into Silent Hill and you'll barely make it out alive. Maybe you need a bridge to get to the lighthouse though, but either way, you're low poly scene looks and feels awesome. Cool job. 👍🏼
