That's a clean looking bead! Agreed, Mark! I welded for years and there's surface prep with a brush or wire wheel and a lot of discoloration due to the weld, itself! the bead has that nice blueish tint that's always present in rapidly heated metal. maybe a nice semigloss metallic blue halo on the metal around the weld!
Still! This is well mapped and rendered! :)
the texture is a good improvement...
it has however presented a mismatch...
either the weld needs to be "aged" to match the rest...
or the rust needs cleaned from around the weld (cleaning in preparation to weld)...
keep up the working at it.
Seam on the rust texture is evident. Maybe add the pooling lines the bead make.
