Ludwig, the Accursed Final

My attempt at sculpting Ludwig, the accursed from the game Bloodborne.

Just in time for halloween! Probably one of my biggest projects to date, but a lot of fun to do.

After doing the basic blockout I ended up sculpting a lot of the details without symmetry + in the final pose (no way I was gonna rig this :P), to give it that mutated, messed up look I was going for. Means the whole thing took a lot longer, but I'm pretty happy with the result myself.

Hope you like it!

Dude this looks amazing. And as Wardred says, that swords it's its own masterpiece. Is this made in Blender?

Thanks! I did the blockout, particles and cloth simulations in Blender, but did the high poly sculpting in Zbrush. The textures on the fabric and sword were done in Substance Painter.

  • This is a pretty spectacular piece. It's like a minotaur and a werewolf, and looks a bit tortured.

The sword alone almost deserves its own post. I like the etching and glow on it.

I'm not sure what that shoulder horror maw is, but it looks particularly horrific.

If you're planning on texturing your creation, I can't wait to see what that ends up looking like!

Thank you! From what I remember he uses that second mouth thing to spray some kind of acid at the player, which is why that side of his face is more scarred and feral looking.

I might do textures in the future, but for now I'm going to move on to some new projects.
