Hey guys,
I hope that you’re all doing well. Setting new projects aside to finish old projects. Although far from completion and nothing spectacular in its current form I am hoping to create something epic.
As with every project I always take the next evolutionary step to enhance my skills so yeah this is trial and error as I walk this journey in solitude. Still, a few objects to add such as a fire torch, stone particles, human bone remains, etc.
Embers particles, mist, and mud particles on mask and smoke simulations will also be added for a more dynamic feel. The normal map values (observing it now) on the mud seem a bit strong so I might have to dial that down. I forgot to re-bake my cavity map so you might notice some artifacts.
Sculpting symmetry is enabled for now but will be disabled to add a-symmetrical weathering. I love creating dialectic materials but metallic materials are so much cooler.
Lastly, there would be some color corrections, material tweaking and some post-production work required but what I have presented today I feel is quite decent, heading toward the direction I envisioned.
Been watching TROY a lot and am extremely inspired by Brad Pitt’s attire. Would love to give that a go someday. I hope you like it.
God bless.
I haven't seen The Man In The Iron Mask in years, but from what I remember it looks spot on. I never saw Troy I'll have to check it out.
Thank you, Matt.
You never fail to do something cool Bennie. For sure that's from the Di Caprio movie, Man In The Iron Mask. I'll put that movie on my list for re-watch, same for Troy. That Achilles helmet is a cool one for sure and the battle between him and Hector is just too awesome. Another cool helmets are the Spartan ones from 300. I suspect those will be your next sculpt, I can feel the energy of sculpting a few helmets.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback, Omar. Indeed you are correct...The Man In The Iron Mask was the first DVD within my collection that I purchased years ago. Yeah, that fight between Achilles and Hector was super cool. For TROY I was planning to create not just the Helmet but the Chestplate, Gauntlets and Greaves too. But that is for a future project. Love Greek Mythology. Thanks again, Omar.
Very cool and well done! Love it! Sculpting something in Blender always amazes me and you put it altogether very nicely.
Thank you, Brad.
