A render of my desk lamp using what I have learned so far in the modelling, materials and texture courses.
I tried to add to the realism by adding noise to the concrete texture and adding very subtle blemishes to the surfaces as well as imperfections on edge of the glass, weighted towards the top by using the fresnel.
That is really good looking. I guess the only nit picky feedback, I'd add deep and shallow depth of field so not only the background is blurred, but the edges of the surface the lamp is standing on. Also that way you get the sense of the size of the object.
Really appreciate for the feedback Omar. You are totally right, it looks way better with depth of field on the lamp.
