Huge thanks to Chris Kuhn for his TechBuilder Pro (sold on Blender Market), and greyoxide from Blendswap for his Shipyard v. 0.7.
This time, it took only 3000 samples and 8 hours and 47 minutes: I can live with that. Need to save some money and buy the point density training on Blender Market though, so that those plasma jets look better next time. :-)
P.S. I don't know why the gallery has truncated this image to an absolutely ridiculous size, but here is the link to a full-sized version: https://blenderartists.org/t/hmas-dundee/667150
Cheers.
this sure is one hell of a detailed spaceship :D
love all the details ou put into it . also love the lights on top of it.
keep up the good work
looks very good!!
You're welcome. :-) The site says, the recommended size is 1200 by something (don't remember exactly), and that was what I uploaded. But then it suddenly shrank to 1024-pixels-wide. Oh well, I am a software developer myself, I can take it. :-)
Thank you for the link. It was worth the trip. Well done.
