Hard Surface Airplane Course Work In Progress

Got through the HS Airplane and it was a tricky one. Some great techniques that will take time to get use to and use.

My attempt is still a WIP as I found out from Martin that Kent carried on with it on a live stream. https://cgcookie.com/live-streams/texturing-the-simple-airplane. So that will be something I will pursue on the side and go through.

I post some workbench renders fer now. I used random colors, plain and boring. 8^]

There are some areas ion the plane that need adjusting. This isn't intended to be accurate in anyway to a real plane, lol. On the fly making stuff up.

Great job Brad. You have some wobbliness on the surfaces here and there, but overall it looks great. That's the hardest part of hard surface modeling, to maintain smooth surfaces. Modeling a car is very unforgiving in that regards, a slight deviation on a vertex and you get wobbliness. There's matcaps that can help you see where you have those surfaces imperfection, the red one is the go to for everyone. If you ever go back and try to correct the surfaces and you feel fixing it is proving too tedious, don't be afraid to start over those parts from scratch. You may think that's crazy, but that's always the best approach.
