I needed to take a break from my Manta Ray Ship. Except for the modeling on the tank treads this is still strictly in block out phase.
I'm really happy with the tank treads though. Now I need to get them to follow a path, like the tank tread tutorial shows. Then get the guide and drive wheels. . . then, then, then.
Gotta look out for the library overrides in your original file when you're linking it into other projects.
I wasn't sure why the tracks were jumping all over the place when I was trying to do the blockout animation.
I think I want the thing taller. I like the ungainly profile of the Jawas' Sand Crawler.
That is going to be one mighty tank. Those two first images look great, and to think that's the viewport. Made me think of the days when the viewport didn't look like that before the 2.8 days. That is one instant you can't say "the good old days".

Yeah, it'll be a pretty big thing when I'm done with it. I'm really happy with the treads, and you're right, that's just the viewport.
