That is looking cool. I wouldn't go down that path, surely there is a glowing monster that eats you. One thing I notice is that maybe the glow effect could be strong enough that you can't see the harsh termination line of the half circles in every plant. I feel that normally you wouldn't be able to tell so much detail out of those little focus of light because it would be blinding and all you could tell was a hot orb of light. You know what I mean? Anyways, it looks great.
