Created this real-time character for Retrogasm 2019, and decided to take it further to learn how to texture and present a stylized character. The modelling/sculpting was 90% done in Blender, with some of the finer details done in ZBrush. The rigging and posing was done in Blender as well. I created a shapekey-based facial rig to make the expressions; there are about 35 facial shapekeys with left and right version. And the background dunes were done following the recent CG Cookie Procedural Sand Dunes course. Real-time rendering was done in Marmoset Toolbag, highpoly render in Cycles.
I have learned so much from CG Cookie courses over the past few years, from sculpting and modelling to rigging and rendering. Thanks for all the great courses!
