I decided to practice different types of eyes but I never seem to be able to get them to look 'glassy' enough no matter what type of eyeballs I draw >.< The highlights seem to get muddied or just look cloudy.
I will definitely try doing them with a hard edge brush - I tend to use either the chalk brush or a square brush for everything.... I guess it's time I change it up a little! Thank you for taking the time to help! :3
Fantastic job with what you have here! I love it! As for the glassy shine your trying to achieve, to best understand how to achieve this effect, it will be great to know how the majority of these effects look in real life. Google tons of pictures to look at for reference. One of the things I've noticed about reflections, especially when it comes to glass, or smooth, wet surfaces is that the edges tend to get much more clean and crisp. Very defined, not feathered. You might try painting those with a hard edged brush with more opacity and see what happens. I think you will be happy with the results. :D
Thank you! :D
