A person posted his addon on the CG Cookie Discord and it looks very helpful for that:

Hey Omar, I found out by mistake the option persistent render under >performance > final render, suddenly it takes only a 10th of the time. Crazy! I'm currently rendering an update without the bend :) and some extra finishing touches. Stay tuned :)

Wow that is cool. The environment is the star of the show here, the car is surrounded in darkness, not that that's a bad thing, it depends on what your after and trying to communicate. There's a bump on the door of the car, you can see it how the reflection bend around it. It's a really cool scene Sebastien, the depth of field with the bokeh in the lights, the slow turn and reveal of the camera, you get that danger feel of a gas station outside of the city, things shrouded in darkness, awesome 🤟🏼

Hi Omar, it was my intent to leave the car in the dark , getting this dramatic feel and focus more on the surroundings. The Bump? indeed, noticed it after the video rendered... Found it could be part of the storytelling: Let's say the couple had a fight :))) . But yeah I'm too enthousiastic about this result not to share it already. Seeing the time it took to render I also still have a lot to learn about optimising scenes. If you have/know a course I could pickup specifically about that, I'm buying :)

my car had a bump there exactly from when I hit a tree driving out of the parking space. didn't see the tree in the dark lol
