Taking the skills I learned in Kent's stylized forest course and putting it towards my own project with a distinctly different style! About a week of work on-and-off and made using Eevee. Much of that time spent trying to work around Eevee's annoying limitations.
That is a great scene. That's when you really level up after watching a course, when you try and go off an unique tangent and apply the skills learned to your own creations. If I had to say one small thing, is that the environment where the light is, it's getting overblown, at least it feels like it. It's ultra saturated and the whites must be clipping a lot. But it's just nitpicking, it feels lively and I can see small kids heading happily to school walking down that road.
Thank you! I probably spent a good few hours trying to tame that light but it was very difficult. It was a side effect with trying to deal with Eevee's handling of world lighting vs sun lamps. I got it down to 0.1% clipping in post processing, but there was only so much that could be done. Very much looking forward to using Cycles again.
