BottegaVeneta perfume re-created in Blender Final

I begun creating renders for my portfolio. Today it's re-creation of my wife's perfume. Looks decent in my opinion. I was aiming at realism as this is supposed to be CGI alternative to packshot photography. Scene is lit with 2 area lights (made from polygons with emitter texture). I should have spent more time positioning those, as the reflections seem a bit too central for my taste. I'll fix it some other time. Blender 2.79 + Cycles + Filmic. Render time under 30 minutes on my laptops GTX1050. Comments welcome!

  • tbrbn - thank you for your input! Laces are actually coming out of cavity, but it's too small. It was 2AM in the morning and I just decided not to fix it ;)
Cap is going to have a clearcoat with gentle glitter effect.
Reflections on the bottom are from actual geometry. In real life the bottle bottom is milky glass with pillow shaped cavities. I recreated it with vertex and the looks are 90% close to real.

  • I just notice tjat the leather laces are intersecting the logo part, maybe try to ad some edge to make them look like they coming out from a cavity ?

  • You did good on a tricky to handle shader (glass)! I would add a tiny little bit of roughness on the cap and sharpens the butterfly logo edges. I wonder where do the wavy pattern on the bottom of the bottle come from ? Are these reflections or an actual pattern?
Good job regardless, you successfully reach a nice level of photo realism :)
