Week 5 at CG Spectrum had me creating a ton of belt accessories (including a buckle and backpack, not shown here 'cause they were so bland imo) for a character, one that I'll start working on next!
Now this one was a real challenge, what with the leather and all, but I learned a lot and it was a ton of fun! Especially while working on the leather textures in Substance Painter; learning even more about adding small details such as wrinkles/folds and even painting seams onto the surface. I probably spent more hours on those three objects than I should have, but it was fun to play around with fills, masks and generators and I ended up receiving a lot of praise from my mentor for it! ^^
Low poly on the right, high poly on the left.
Great work. I'm liking the presentations of the low poly and high poly with the image texture on the center.
